Thankfully I have never been in a situation where I haven't been able to care for our pets. But for some people, there is no choice except to give up their pets.
Ruff Haven is a pet crisis shelter - they provide 60-90 days of emergency sheltering and fostering to people experiencing a crisis or temporary hardship. Rather than losing their pet to a shelter, rescue or a new family, their pet is temporarily sheltered until they can be reunited. This spoke to Stacey, Christine and I and we thought that kicking off a fundraiser for Ruff Haven was a great way to start the new year.
